Lynn Church of the Nazarene
Our Mission: To make Christlike disciples in Lynn and the nations.
We are a church family in Lynn, IN. We are a part of the Nazarene denomination, which is a member of the Wesleyan-Holiness tradition. As a member of the Nazarene denomination, we hold to three core values that make us who we are at the foundational level.
First, we are a Christian people. We stand with our brothers and sisters in the Christian church as believers that Jesus Christ is Lord and we believe in the Trinitarian God taught in scripture. We value the name given to us at Antioch (Acts 11:26), connecting us to Christ and uniting us in Him. We are influenced by the teachings of John Wesley and we believe that the Wesleyan-Holiness theology is a way to understand Christianity in a coherent way that is logical and faithful to the Holy Word of God.
Next, we are a Holiness people. God, who is holy, calls us to a life of holiness. We recognize that holiness is being formed into Christlikeness, and we believe in the second work of grace by the Holy Spirit that we call “entire sanctification” in which He cleanses us from all sin and empowers us to live out the Great Commandment, to love God with all of our heart, soul, mind and strength.
Finally, we are a Missional people. We believe that we are called to be participants in the mission of God in the world to redeem His children. We are proud to be a part of a denomination that has a large global footprint in missions work, carrying out the Great Commission that Jesus called us to.

We hope to see you in church someday and we would be happy to welcome you, no matter where you come from or who you are. We are called the Church of the Nazarene, and one scripture that I love to share that illustrates our beginnings as a denomination is John 1:46 in which we read about Jesus calling Nathanael to be a disciple. Upon hearing that Jesus is from Nazareth, a small town, Nathanael exclaims, “Nazareth! Can anything good come from there?” In the Church of the Nazarene, we are a church for the people that believe that nothing good can come from them. We believe that Jesus can take your “Nazareths” of your own life and make you new. You must choose Him today to be Lord of your life and believe that his sacrifice is sufficient to pay for your sins, or Nazareths, and his resurrection seals the fact that He is the Lord of all the earth. He wants to make you new.
God, make us small so that you can be big.
